The Catholic Business Network of South Jersey met this morning at Saint Bridget University Parish, Glassboro. The event began with Mass celebrated by Father John Rossi, parish pastor. Afterward, the group enjoyed breakfast, networking and a presentation about the benefits and pitfalls of #artificialintelligence.
Tim Guim, president and CEO of PCH Technologies, spoke about the positive uses of #AI, including using avatars for employee training, increasing productivity with repeated tasks, and prompt engineering to help with the creation of marketing. He also discussed the importance of having an acceptable use policy for AI.
He also warned against AI-generated scams such as deep fake videos and phone calls tricking people into thinking the caller is a friend or relative when it is not.
“I learned a lot through Tim’s presentation,” said Stacy Napolitano, CBNSJ secretary. “It was very helpful to the business owners here today. In addition, we were happy that Father Rossi could join us on his 16th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood. What a special day for us to meet at Saint Bridget’s.”
