Dio Portland in MaineAs the Diocese of Portland prepares to celebrate the ordination to the priesthood of Deacon Erin Donlon, Deacon Hoa Tien Nguyen, and Deacon Thanh Duc Pham, the faithful gathered at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland for a Eucharistic Holy Hour and Solemn Vespers for Vocations. Father Brad Morin was the presider, with Msgr. Rene Mathieu delivering the homily. At the conclusion of the service, Bishop James Ruggieri blessed the chalices that will be presented to the newly ordained during tomorrow’s Mass, as well as the chasubles with which they will be vested.
