• After His Resurrection, Jesus ascended into Heaven. As the Gospel of Luke tells us, “He led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up His hands He blessed them. While He blessed them, He parted from them, and was carried up into heaven” (Luke 24: 49-51).

The Ascension of Jesus isn’t a goodbye—it’s a beginning! He returns to the Father not to leave us behind, but to reign over the whole universal Church, allowing him to be present to everyone at all times. It connects Heaven and earth in a new way, allowing us to participate in Heavenly life through Christ. How amazing!

This Sunday, as we celebrate the Ascension, may we trust more fully in God’s presence with us always, and may we open our hearts to the gift of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Amen.
