O rito foi presidido, na noite desta sexta-feira, 16 de janeiro, pelo cardeal arcipreste Mauro Gambetti. Dentro da parede foi colocada a caixa de bronze onde foram depositadas a chave da Porta Santa, o pergaminho que atesta a abertura e o fechamento da Porta e algumas medalhas dos pontificados do Papa Francisco e do Papa Leão XIV.
