Into the Deep started two years ago as an effort to reverse some of the troubling trends that we are seeing across our diocese (which we posted about last week) and to put us in a better position to make disciples and to strengthen our diocese for the future. We’ve been addressing these trends, and our end-goal of making disciples and realigning our resources, by keeping in mind these six guiding principles as we go Into the Deep: 1) Follow Jesus; 2) Reclaim Sunday; 3) Evangelize others; 4) Engage youth; 5) Equip leaders; and 6) Serve neighbors. So far these efforts have borne good fruits in our diocese.
