With the St. Peter’s Italian Bazaar just days away, it is cookie baking time! Dozens of volunteers gathered in the parish hall August 5 and 6 with the goal of making 13,000 Italian cookies! It is a true team effort with volunteers mixing, shaping, baking, frosting, topping them off with sprinkles, and then packaging them. So beloved is this time in the parish that some volunteers have been taking part for decades, since they were children. The bazaar, which will be held Friday, August 8, and Saturday, August 9, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., is marking its 100th anniversary this year.
