Happy Feast of the Transfiguration!
The Transfiguration of the Lord reminds us that what happened to Jesus on Mount Tabor is also our eternal destiny: “When Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is” (the Communion Antiphon from today’s Mass). All of our sufferings in this life can be lifted up to and transformed by Christ’s light and love for our good and for the good of others.
