Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Today, August 15, we celebrate Mary’s Assumption into heaven, body and soul. A sign of hope for us all, may we follow her example of faith and love. As Patroness of the Diocese of Greensburg, we ask Our Lady of the Assumption to intercede for our Diocese so that we may always be attentive to the things that are above and share in her eternal glory. “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb” (Lk 1:42).
