Today, August 20, we celebrate the memorial of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, Abbot and Doctor of the Church, known as the “Doctor Mellifluus” for his profound and sweet teachings on Jesus Christ. He taught that true knowledge of God comes from a personal, intimate encounter with Christ’s love, emphasizing that Jesus alone is “honey in the mouth, song to the ear, jubilation in the heart.” May his wisdom inspire us to seek God more deeply through prayer and contemplation.
