Pope Leo XIV asked Catholics to observe Aug. 22 as a day of prayer and fasting for peace and justice in Ukraine and in the Holy Land. He noted that the Church will celebrate the Feast of the Queenship of Mary on Aug. 22, who also is invoked as Queen of Peace.
