Prince of Peace parishioners gathered at Holy Family Church in Lewiston on Sunday, August 23, to celebrate and thank the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary for their nearly 100 years of service to the community. Sister Cecile Mondor and Sister Marie May Lausier are retiring and leaving the area, bringing to an end the congregation’s presence in Maine. Sister Cecile served as a teacher for 57 years, including 24 of them at Holy Cross School in Lewiston, while Sister Marie May served as a teacher, in provincial leadership, as a retreat leader, and as a spiritual director.
