St. Monica, mother of St. Augustine, was born into a Christian family and married a pagan. Her example of charity and piety eventually led to her husband and mother-in-law’s conversions.
After being widowed, St. Monica spent more than 15 years praying for her son to accept God into his life. Her years of prayer led to his conversion and today, both mother and son are recognized as saints! #FeastDay
