The following is a statement from Archbishop Andrew Bellisario, C.M. concerning the shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis:
“I have just heard of the shooting during a school Mass at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, where several people were killed and injured, including young children. This horrific violence needs to stop. People of goodwill need to find ways to end this senseless violence that causes so much pain and suffering to the innocent. We need to pray for those who have been victimized in this tragic event and reach out to help comfort and console those affected in this incredibly tragic and sad case, and so many others. Yes, please do pray and reach out. But it is time for us to come together as Americans and end this violence in our country and work to end war and violence everywhere. May Almighty God, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, Queen of Peace, show us the way!”
