Today is the memorial of St. Augustine! St. Augustine is best known for his conversion (thanks to the prayers of his saintly mother, Monica), as recounted in his famous Confessions, but he also served as a bishop; he guided the Church in North Africa through a time of division with his intellect and preaching. And he wrote a monastic rule that still guides many religious orders today. We pray for the Augustinians (including Pope Leo XIV) today, and we pray for our St. Augustine University Parish in Platteville. St. Augustine, pray for us!
