On this Twenty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time, our readings reflect on the radical call to discipleship. Reminding us that true wisdom comes from God and that our lives are fleeting, we must gain a wise heart and be transformed through the love and brotherhood of Christ. In the Gospel from Saint Luke, Jesus challenges us to prioritize Him above all else, even family and possessions, and “carry the cross and come after me.” Let us commit ourselves to Christ and embrace the cost of following him wholeheartedly!
