On their final full day in Italy, our Diocesan pilgrims are visiting Gubbio, which is known to many in northeastern Pennsylvania with its connection to the borough of Jessup.
Our pilgrims celebrated Mass at the Basilica of Saint Ubaldo, which is located right at the top of the mountain that watches over Gubbio.
The Basilica is of medieval origin, but during the 1500s it was enlarged with the addition of a convent and cloister. While the exterior might appear simple, the church has five naves and the stained glass windows tell the life of Saint Ubaldo!
