On September 10, Archbishop Edward Weisenburger presided at a special Evening Prayer and celebration at Sacred Heart Major Seminary as eight members of the Archdiocese of Detroit were recognized with Papal Honors for their exemplary service to the Church. Among them, seven were inducted into the Pontifical Equestrian Order of St. Sylvester, and one into the Order of St. Gregory the Great. Archbishop Emeritus Allen H. Vigneron conferred the honors during the liturgy, which was followed by a joyful dinner with family and friends in gratitude for the honorees’ faithful witness and dedication to Christ and His Church.
