In recent years the Catholic community of N.C. State University in Raleigh held its celebrations of Mass in the student union and other locations. It was a race to unpack and prepare beforehand and a race to pack back up afterward.
Today there is a more permanent home, and things have slowed down a bit. The house was purchased in spring and blessed Sept. 3 by Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama. Friends and members of Catholic Campus Ministry gathered at the home, which is called the Doggett Center and located on Hillsborough Street, for an outdoor event that included Mass with the bishop and priests who serve the community.
Listen as Bishop Luis talks about what the space means to the community and view photos from the Sept. 3 blessing.
