Though Hunger Action Month may be over, St. Francis House Food Pantry in Anchorage is still in need!
Our support is essential. For example, St. Benedict AK collected and donated 2872 pounds of food last weekend, which will go on to help many in Anchorage. Please help stock Saint Francis House’s shelves! Food donations can be dropped off at 3710 E. 20th Ave. 1–4 pm Monday through Thursday and 9–4 on Friday.
For other ways to help, you can donate your bagged leaves at FIG (Fresh International Garden) at the garden gate across the street from 4502 McPhee St. 9:30 AM to 3 PM.
Clare House is looking for toothpaste, accepting donations at 4110 Spaniard Rd. every day from 9 AM to 6 PM.
3rd Avenue Resource and Navigation Center is looking for hats, belts, gloves, Hot Hands, and reading glasses, which can be donated at 1131 E. 3rd Ave. Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Be sure to check with Brian Andrews to ensure your donation was received properly.
Complex Care has a special request for 7 or 8 clothing items in a male XL size, which can be donated at 303 W. Fireweed Lane daily from 9 AM to 6 PM.
