On Oct. 4, the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, clergy around the Archdiocese blessed and welcomed pets of all shapes, species, breeds and sizes to celebrate the role that animals and pets play in God’s creation.
St. Francis is the patron of animals and God’s creation.
