A Companion of St. Paul and believed to be the only Gentile Christian of the Gospel writers, St. Luke is known for his New Testament writings as one of the three Synoptic Gospels.
He is credited with having painted multiple portraits of the Blessed Virgin Mary and may have been the founder of Christian iconography. May we be as dedicated to God’s Word as this evangelist.
