On the feast of Pope Saint John Paul II, we reflect on his prayer from the Letter to the Elderly:
“Grant, O Lord of Life, that we may savor every season of our lives as a gift… And when the moment of our definitive passage comes, grant that we may face it with serenity, without regret for what we shall leave behind.”
As we journey towards End-of-Life Month, may his words remind us to trust in God’s mercy, welcome every stage of life as grace, and look with hope toward the Resurrection. ✝️ Saint John Paul II, pray for us!
