Known as “the Man of the Beatitudes,” Pier lived a short but joy-filled life rooted in prayer, service, and adventure. A lover of mountain climbing, the Eucharist, and helping the poor, he showed that holiness is not about perfection—it’s about love in action.
He once said, “To live without faith, without a heritage to defend, without battling constantly for truth, is not to live but to get along.”
