In October, Fr. William Hanrahan said goodbye to Seward and Alaska as he returns home to New Jersey to be with his family. He will be greatly missed by both his parish, Sacred Heart, American Legion Post #5, and the archdiocese, serving faithfully since he retired from active-duty in 2005.
His adventures saw him spend time in many places, such as Guam and South Korea, and saw him pilot a number of planes, including a B-52, F-18, and more. Yet, most importantly, he has been able to carry out the duties of the priesthood and bless the people of our archdiocese and many more, and he will continue to be a blessing wherever he goes.
Please keep Fr. Bill, his family, Sacred Heart, Seward, the American Legion, and the Air Force in your prayers!
