After his Pontifical Visit to the prelacies of Canada and Western United States, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia arrived in New York from San Francisco on Tuesday, November 11. He was received by Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, and representatives of the Eastern Prelacy.
His Holiness expressed his satisfaction for visiting again the Eastern Prelacy. He is presiding over the celebrations on the 30th anniversary of his enthronement in the New York and New Jersey. Catholicos Aram I is accompanied by Archbishop Kegham, Prelate of the Western Prelacy; Archbishop Papken, Prelate of the Canadian Prelacy; Archbishop Torkom; Bishop Dajad Ashekian, Chancellor of the Catholicosate; Very Rev. Fr. Hovagim Panjarjian, head of the Information Department of the Catholicosate, and Very Rev. Fr. Sarkis Aprahamian, officer of Christian-Islamic dialogue and staff bearer.
