• Great job by Knights of Columbus councils around Maine who distributed nearly 1,500 jackets for children as part of the Knights’ Coats for Kids campaign. Leading the pack was Knights Council 101 from Our Lady of Hope Parish in Portland, which dropped off 312 coats to Maine Needs, a nonprofit that serves those facing financial hardship. Coats for Kids is a program of the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council, and since it started in 2009, more than one million jackets have been provided to children around the country.
