The Diocese of Scranton celebrated National Philanthropy Day today with the Northeastern PA chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
We are especially proud to congratulate the 2025 Outstanding Fundraising Professional, Mary Carroll Donahoe of AllOne Foundation & Charities, who faithfully helps lead our diocesan Catholic Women’s Conference each year.
And we are thankful for the partnership of the McGlynn Learning Center in Wilkes-Barre, which nominated Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser, Beverly Jean Johnston.
The McGlynn Center’s Educational
Improvement Tax Credit program donor outreach efforts help send young residents of Boulevard Townhomes to St. Nicholas-St. Mary School and Holy Redeemer High School. On behalf of all our 19 Catholic schools, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the parishes, parishioners, and Catholic school community of generous benefactors who have helped us make 2025 a truly transformational EITC year.
As we approach Thanksgiving, we sincerely thank ALL who include the Diocese, its Catholic schools, and/or its multiple nonprofit ministry organizations in their philanthropic giving!
