With 16,000 youth and youth leaders in attendance and millions more watching on EWTN, Archbishop Nelson Perez from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia celebrated Mass with his brother bishops and priests from around the country at NCYC.
He emphasized on this Solemnity of Christ the King, Pope Leo’s message from Thursday morning.
“God hears our cry. He hears our hurt. He hears our wounds.
He sees our struggles….
He’s been hearing us and will always hear us.
When you and I feel lost and in the dark, Jesus says to you and me. I AM your light.
That hunger that doesn’t seem to satisfy – He said “I am your Bread of Life.”
