Today we celebrate the First Sunday of Advent, beginning a season of hope, preparation, and eager anticipation for the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The readings call us to watchfulness, prayer, and conversion, reminding us that we’re not only readying ourselves for the celebration of His birth, but also His glorious return. As we light the first Advent candle, may our hearts be open to welcome the King of glory into our lives with faith, hope, and love.
