• The Archdiocesan Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration is this weekend! Music and festivities of ancient Mexican traditions will fill Downtown Houston on Saturday, Dec. 6.

      The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart will host a Mass at 9 a.m. on Dec. 6 to commemorate the anniversary of the Virgin Mary’s appearance to a humble peasant, St. Juan Diego, in 1531 on the hills of Tepeyac in México.

      Archbishop Joe A. Vásquez and Bishop Italo Dell’Oro will be the celebrants of the Mass. A procession before the Mass starts at 7:30 a.m. at 1441 Walker St., proceeding south on Fannin Street towards the Co-Cathedral.

      Serenate, reenactment of the apparition and traditional dances will take place after Mass at the Joseph A. Fiorenza Plaza at 11 a.m.

      The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart is located at 1111 St. Joseph Pkwy.
