Catholic Charities Maine is holding its 7th annual Wall of Warmth outside its offices on Congress Street in Portland. Hundreds of hats, scarves, mittens, blankets, and other items are free to anyone who needs them. The items, many of them handknitted or crocheted, were donated from folks across Maine, including as far away as Eagle Lake in Aroostook County. Donations also included 300 hats from Eliot and clothes from Peaks Island residents, among many others. The Wall of Warmth is traditionally held on Giving Tuesday but was delayed a day this year due to the snowstorm. Read more: https://portlanddiocese.org/news/catholic-charities-wall-warmth-2025
