Simbang Gabi is a Filipino tradition of a nine-day novena leading up to Christmas. The tradition originally began with liturgies held in the early morning to give farmers the opportunity to attend Mass before going to work in the fields.
Beginning on Dec. 16, parishes throughout our diocese will host Masses as part of the novena, many followed by food and fellowship afterwards.
