• Though they officially retire from active ministry, priests and deacons do not retire from their dedication to serving the Church. Deacon Vernon Krajeski and Fr. Charles Brickner are proof of that as they celebrate their 45th and 50th ordination anniversaries, respectively.

      Originally ordained in New York, Deacon Krajeski was one of the first permeant deacons to serve in our diocese and continues to serve at St. John the Apostle in Virginia Beach.

      Fr. Brickner has served in various capacities throughout our diocese in Hampton Roads and Southwest Virginia, where he retired and now lives in solitude.
