Jesse Tree Day 7 || Like Joseph opens the grain stores for those starving, Jesus opens the gates of heaven for us.
Joseph was rejected by his brothers, sold into slavery — he suffered greatly through the sins of his brothers. Similarly, Jesus was rejected by his people, suffering and paying the ultimate price for our sins. God used Joseph to save his Chosen people from famine and death — God sent his Son to save us from sin and death.
Joseph showed forgiveness to his brothers and opened the grain stores, Jesus shows forgiveness and opens heaven for us. Reflect: Are there people in your life in need of your forgiveness? Are you in need of forgiveness this Advent?
