The second Sunday of Advent is here, and with it comes a quieter invitation: to let peace take root. In a world that can feel restless and divided, Advent reminds us that God doesn’t just point us toward peace—He comes to bring it.
Today we light the second candle on the Advent wreath, the Candle of Peace. Like the first, it’s purple, but this one is often called the “Bethlehem Candle,” drawing our attention to Mary and Joseph’s journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem carried forward by trust. It’s a reminder that peace is arriving in Jesus.
What is one area of your life where Christ is inviting you to receive (and share) His peace this Advent?
