Jesse Tree Day 8 || Jesus gives us grace to follow the Ten Commandments
Before Jesus gave Moses the Ten Commandments, he reminded him of all he had done for the Israelites, reminding them of the great love he has for them. That is the motivation to keep the Ten Commandments — not out of fear but out of love for God. If we love God, we keep his commandments. Jesus knew mankind, he knew our nature — it’s easier to do wrong than do good. That is why he sent Jesus — both as proof of his love for us and as a source of grace as we continue to follow God.
