Father Ric Halvorson, former pastor of Holy Spirit who’s now on the formation faculty of the University of Saint Mary of the Lake, had the opportunity to meet Pope Leo XIV today following his general audience at St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. 🤝
Father Halvorson shared with the pope that he grew up in East Dubuque, Illinois. The pope took a photo with the group of seminarians and faculty members and accepted a Mundelein Seminary baseball jersey with “Pope Leo” printed on the back.
This is the fourth pope Father Halvorson has met. 🙏
