Jesse Tree Day 12 || Jesus, our Good Shepherd, by his example, leads us in the “paths of righteousness.”
Our Good Shepherd cares for our physical and spiritual needs, and when we follow him along the “paths of righteousness” — the way of living that pleases the Lord — our cup overflows. Psalm 23 tells us that these paths will not always be easy. There will darkness (“valley of the shadow of death”) and adversity (“in the presence of my enemies”) yet if we follow Jesus’ example, we will reach the ultimate reward: dwelling “in the house of the Lord forever.”
If we let him, Jesus will care for us in every way imaginable. This Advent, let him restore your soul — walk his path and let goodness and mercy overflow in your life.
