• Today we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, recalling when Mary appeared to Juan Diego in 1531 on the Hill of Tepeyac in Mexico. Parishes across the Archdiocese are honoring the Blessed Mother with Masses, prayers and gatherings.

On Dec. 6, Archbishop Joe S. Vásquez celebrated a special Mass at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and joined a mile-long procession with the image of Our Lady. The procession stretched down at least 10 downtown city blocks.

More than a thousand, including many danzantes and matachines dancers wearing traditional indigenous attire, attended the Mass, procession and Archdiocesan gathering at the Archbishop Fiorenza Plaza. See more photos at https://rebrand.ly/agh-guadalupe
