Jesse Tree Day 13 || Wisdom it’s knowledge, it’s seeing the world the way God sees it. If we want to do this — to become more like him — we must get to know him.
Our Scripture passage starts by telling us: “Solomon loved the Lord…” And we know that because of his love of God, he kept the Ten Commandments. Solomon’s love of the Lord led him to want to be more like the Lord, which is why he asked for wisdom. Wisdom gave Solomon the gift of seeing the world as God did, helping him to make choices as God would.
This Advent, we’re reminded that God is just as accessible to us as he was to Solomon — and he’s waiting for us to ask him for the virtue of wisdom!
