Yesterday, at the majestic Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, our faith community came together in a spirit of joy and thanksgiving to celebrate the Holy Mass with Bishop Gerald M. Barbarito and to welcome our new bishop-elect, Reverend Manuel de Jesús Rodríguez Diocese of Brooklyn, Sorrows Corona into the flock.
Surrounded by our dedicated pastoral staff and the faithful of the Diocese, we witnessed a moment of grace and renewal. We give thanks to God for guiding Bishop-elect Rodríguez as he begins his sacred mission among us, and we pray that the Holy Spirit continues to strengthen him and all of us as we journey forward in unity and hope. Yesterday was not just a celebration—it was a promise of faith, love, and commitment to living the Gospel together.
