Dio MadisonToday, March 25, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Annunciation! As soon as Mary gave her “yes” to God during Gabriel’s visit, our Savior was conceived within her womb, a moment that we celebrate exactly nine months before the birth of Christ at Christmas.
Today is a great day to pray the Angelus! The Angelus is a prayer that is typically prayed at 6:00 am, Noon, and 6:00 pm, and it recalls Gabriel’s visit to Mary and Jesus’ conception. Even if you don’t pray it at the three normal times, it’s still a wonderful way to pause and take time for prayer in the midst of your day.
