Arch Hartford+ DEATH OF A PRIEST
Rev. Paul J. Mangiafico died on Saturday April 5, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Florida as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident. Born September 1, 1943, Fr. Paul was ordained by Archbishop John. F. Whealon on May 23, 1970. Among his assignments were St. Aedan and St. Lucy. He had been living in Florida since 2001 when he was placed on medical leave. He eventually worked at various parishes in that Diocese in retirement.
His funeral will be held in Florida and burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Britain in the family plot at a date to be announced.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
