Arch ChicagoThousands of humanitarian assistance programs are still stopped, and many organizations haven’t received all the promised funds. These programs provide critical, lifesaving assistance to our sisters and brothers facing hunger, religious persecution and conflict around the world.
The situation remains urgent. As food distributions are halted, people are going hungry. Without treatment for acute malnutrition, children will die. Just one program terminated in Guatemala means that nearly 500,000 people will no longer receive the support they need to overcome the persistent hunger they once faced. Without the tools and seeds for planting crops this month, many Guatemalan children will fall back into malnutrition and fail to reach their God-given potential.
