Arch Hartford+ DEATH OF A PRIEST
Rev. Hugh J. MacDonald, born July 12, 1938, and ordained on May 7, 1964, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford, by the Most Rev. Christopher J. Coyne, Archbishop of Hartford. Fr. Colin Lane will be the homilist.
Fr. Hugh was in residence at Resurrection after completing 22 years as Pastor of Saint Barnabas in North Haven.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. May perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
