Knights of Columbus member and parishioner at Ascension Parish (Hurricane) Ashley Stinnett, will be the featured guest at 2pm, Thursday, April 10th on ETWN’s Journey Home hosted by JonMarc Grodi. Guests like Ashley share their stories of faith, conversion, and become fully alive in the Catholic Church weekly on the EWTN’s program produced by the Coming Home Network International.
Ashley’s direct advice to someone considering joining the Church or returning to it “Get on your knees more pray. Don’t ignore what God is telling you. You’re talking to God when you pray, he is listening. Read your bible. Get into that relationship with Christ. Find a Mass to go to. Start talking to your Catholic community.”
Program promo-summaries note, Ashley Stinnett attended numerous Evangelical congregations growing up and into his young adult years. He and his wife eventually because of various life circumstances began to re-evaluate questions about faith and Christian unity. He began to see the Eucharist as the center of Christian life.
His name may be familiar to you, because he was the lead in the movie “The Good Fight” that debuted in 2024 and we posted about on our diocesan social media. The Good Fight is a faith-based boxing film featuring the legendary actor and singer John Schneider (most notably of Dukes of Hazzard and Smallville). The movie was filmed entirely in the Huntington, Hurricane, Ashland, and Chesapeake area. It was written and directed by Cabell County native James Edward Holley.
