St. Patrick Church, Weston, WV and St. Patrick School, Weston, WV had much to celebrate this morning. Bishop Mark Brennan and Vocations Director Fr. Brian Crenwelge came to their awesome parish to celebrate the rite of candidacy for Holy Orders for parishioner and alum Joseph Derico.
In front of pastor Fr. Douglas Ondeck, Principal John Riley, faculty, students in grades K-8, family, many parishioners, and friends, Joe, who is finishing his fourth year of college seminary at Pope St. John Paul II College Seminary (in Washington, DC) confirmed his desire to be a holy priest for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston for the service of God and mankind.
Joe will graduate in May and this summer he will be off to begin studies at the Pontifical North American College in Rome.
