When he was growing up, his grandmother made one particular dish on Good Friday. It was created from small amounts of six different kinds of pasta and served as an opportunity to teach he and his sister of six wounds of Christ. Today Father Jim, O.F.M. joins NC Catholics NOW in the kitchen for a pasta bake, even though he doesn’t use the word pasta. He will, however, break the rule of not breaking the bucatini. After all, that’s what his grandmother Josephine did. This simple meal is sustenance and perfect for Lent.
