Dio GreensburgToday pilgrims from across the Diocese walk as Pilgrims of Hope to Blessed Sacrament Cathedral for the monthly Jubilee Mass, which begins at noon.
We pray for the intercession of Saint James the Greater, patron saint of walkers and pilgrims, who left his life as a fisherman to follow Christ as one of his Apostles. Saint James spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the ancient world, even to Spain, where the Camino de Santiago (the Way of Saint James) leads to his tomb.
Prayer:
Saint James, you were chosen to witness Christ’s glory in the Transfiguration on Mount Tabor and His agony in Gethsemane. Obtain for us strength and consolation on our journey of life, that having constantly and faithfully followed Jesus, we may share in His eternal reign of Heaven. Amen.
