Bishop Knestout celebrated the Mass of the Lord’s Supper at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart last night, alongside concelebrant Fr. Tony Marques, rector of the cathedral.
On Holy Thursday, we are reminded of Jesus’ humility in washing the disciples’ feet, a tradition that continues in the Church to this day.
In his homily, Bishop Knestout said, “The Eucharist we celebrate today, and the washing of the feet celebrated at this Mass of the Lord’s Supper, is to remind us that our Eucharistic celebration and communion is food for our journey of faith and discipleship.”
As we continue through the Sacred Triduum, may we be reminded of our Lord’s sacrifice and love for us. #HolyThursday
